Alternative Political Conversations
As members of a faith community, and as citizens, we are called to participate responsibly in the political process, despite the divisive and unhelpful atmosphere of these days. If you are as frustrated as I am with the current climate of "debate," you may be interested in an alternative.
Gordon College, an evangelical Christian college in Massachusetts -- has a website called "Respectful Conversation" that offers resources for setting up conversations about the issues of our day. Here's what they say:
"In stark contrast to the hyper-partisan and vitriolic discourse that we anticipate leading up to the 2012 elections, we will be hosting an Alternative Political Conversation."
