First Congregational has a rich history, having been gathered in 1849. On the occassion of our 150th anniversary, a book was written by several members of the congregation called Independent of Mind, Open of Heart. The book was awarded First Place by the Congregational Historical Society, and copies are available from the church office for $10, including shipping.
